Raging Hormones All Around

One week to holidays!! Yaaayy! I'm soo happy, I'mma see my English people, heheheheh!! Ohmigod, I'm so happy, I mean I know the last hols were just three weeks ago, but it's not every holidays that I get to see my awesome cousins and uncle and aunty!! Alsooo, I'm hoping to see my darlin' Laura too! Wild nights out and lots of shopping and maybe a showing of ''Les Mis'' (YAY, YAY, YAY!! <3) HERE I COME!!

In the mean time I've not been up to very much.. After I finished Smash I started my search for a new fill-in series again.. On my list: Revenge and Supernatural.  I tried Supernatural first and thought that I might really like it, I mean Jensen Ackles... Hello-o... Have you SEEN his pretty face? But then I watched episode two and episode three and I realised that it's a bit too scary for me! I might have liked it more if I hadn't tried watching it before bed, and then tossing and turning for some twenty minutes...  I mean it's proof of a brilliant series when that kinda stuff happens to the viewers but I just can't take the suspense. I don't even watch horror films because I'm such a softie. I wasn't too upset by the Woman In White but then the Wendigo.... I get shivers running down my spine just thinking about it.. So I might actually watch some more episodes at some point when I'm bored but it won't be my new fill-in.
Revenge was also interesting... I watched it 'cos my friends recommended it and stuff and it's on the same channel as Pretty Little Liars so I guessed it MIGHT be to my tastes.. But it turned out to be a bunch more boring than I expected.. I mean I am a person who doesn't support holing a grudge so I guess I'm kinda against the whole principle of the show.. Except for in Nikita.. That b*tch Amanda really needs to die. I digress.. (Hihi, I love that word :D) The concept of taking down rich b*stards one by one is rather attractive but U don't thing that they made the Hamptons crowd seem mean and evil enough to actually dislike them enough to wish for their downfall. Especially when the hot boy, who is totally supposed to be with Emily/Amanda, dies at the end and you know this from the beginning. The only thing that I actually like is finding out how she managed to kill their reputation.

The series that finally won the battle of the fill-in series last weekend ended up being... Drum roll... Game Of Thrones I thought about watching it some time earlier already, but then someone gave me a bad advice about it and I decided against it.. But now I thought ''this is apparently HBO's best series I should totally check it out..'' I mean, it's kind of a little bit like a brother of True Blood and ohmigod I LOVE True Blood, but you all know that anyways :D What I have to say about this show is much nicer than what I said about the others. I actually really enjoy it like really! SO much sex and violence - apparently like fourteen deaths per episode - but the story lines are very good and the characters are amazingly built, such good actors (all British which I think is pretty cool for an American production!!).

The story is about the conflicts and scandals of several noble families in kingdom where there are such things as dragons and magic. Most of the story lines are somehow including the Stark family, which consists of Eddard 'Ned' and Catelyn Stark, Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran and Rickon, there is also Ned's bastard son John Snow and their ward Theon Greyjoy who have basically become part of the family but have to deal with still not really belonging. Ned is the best friend of the king Robert who is eventually killed by a boar while hunting and his teenage son Joffrey (who is actually the product of his mother, the queen, sleeping with her TWIN brother :S) becomes son. Sansa is wants to marry Joffrey, but he turns out to be a bit of an evil b*stard and after he kills Ned, Robb goes to war against him and Sansa has a hard time choosing between 'her beloved' and her family.

On the other side of the Narrow Sea Daenerys Targaryen the last surviving daughter of the king before Robert and the last person with ''dragon's blood in her veins'' is forced to marry a wild horse lord who is basically double her size and the whole arranged marriage thing is explored. I actually quite like 'Dany's' storyline because she comes to actually love Kahl Drogo and later becomes 'Mother of the Dragons' as three of the last and apparently ornamental dragon's eggs hatch. I don't want to spoil any more so I'm gonna move on to something else now it's deffs a good series to try out if you like medieval sci-fi kinda stuff.. It's a bit like Merlin.

On advice of my dearest Nesi I watched the amazing chick-flick The First Time last weekend too. It's typical boy meets girl they hit it off and kinda fall in love with each other rather quickly and, as you may guess from the title, sleep together and afterwards break up.. Themes explored in the film are the process of getting into a relationship at a teen age as well as being in the ''friendzone'' and the importance of loosing your virginity. It's a typical romantic comedy aimed at teenagers, but it is very refreshingly different. A little bit 'hipster', a little bit 'indie'.. I really enjoyed it because due to the lack of cheese it was way more realistic and just touched my heart in a different way (god, now I sound cheesy :S), and I must say I am normally a sucker for the traditional cheesy rom-coms.
Well it's a story about Dave and he meets this girl Aubrey who he clicks with immediately due to the fact that he thinks he's in love with another girl who 'really values him as a friend' and then they hang out more and slowly Aubrey realises that she is actually falling for him and he starts caring less and less about the other girl. Aubrey is totally artsy and has a seriously cool room, in which she has collage-ed all the walls with new papers to make giant waves and it's amazing and I don't even know why I'm going on about this but I just thought it was SO cool! Well yeah, there's loads and loads of butterfly moments, because they're just SO SWEET I was like... I can't.. I just can't!! And then also majorly awkward moments were I was having to look away as to bear the awkwardness without laughing out loud. So it basically describes a teenagers life perfectly. Awkwardness and raging hormones!!
The actress was Britt Robertson (formerly The Secret Circle) and she's such a sweetheart and such an everygirl that you can totally imagine yourself to be and the guy was Dylan O'Brien (Teen Wolf) who is super cute and rawr that body ;P hehe, but he still looks quite normal due to his not quite perfect looks and I can't even say how perfect the film was!! Just brilliant, I'm voting it best romantic comedy of 2012 for sure!

It's a cover of Rihanna who I have started to not like anymore, she's not just become too commercial but her voice which is pretty unique, now just blends in with all the other pop singers :S Shame.. But yeah, I watched this cover by Lana McKissack and Chester See which is pretty much a parody but if you don't look at the video it's a f*cking amazing cover! I can't get this song out of my head since then! So, just give it a listen please, it's seriously good! Byeeee see ya!

Pickpocketing, Rude Humor And The Brilliant Lights Of Broadway

All-star cast! Critisized by the Critics! One of the weirdest comedies ever! We've GOT to see this.

Can you guess where I'm going with this? I watched Movie 43 this weekend. Ohmigod I can't even begin to describe it. Basically just: RANDOM! It was so weird I laughed the whole way through. 

The international version goes like this. Three teenager on the search for the most dangerous film in the world, and on the way there they find loads of reaaally strange little films. Some of the ''big names'' featured in this film are Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Richard Gere, Halley Berry, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Faris, Seann William Scott,  Uma Thurman, Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Gerard Butler (as a Leprichaun, ohhh yeahhhh! :D)...
The first one was a film ''starring'' Hugh Jackman and Kate Winslet and it starts out as this really good blind date, romantic comedy style but then all of a sudden, he takes his scarf of and he literally has testicles hanging from his Adams apple. Kate's character is freaked out but stays polite and continues her date with him, but it turns more and more embarrassing by the minute as he dribbles some soup on them and she then has to tell him he ''has something there''.. The highlight is when a enthusiastic common friend wants to take a picture of the two of them and the testicles hang right next to her face and she is sitting there with a horrified expression on her face. This scene was so abstract and strange that the embarrassment factor of the woman was quite funny.

Not Missing Out On The Typical High School Experience?

The scene after that was a couple being over to dinner at their new neighbours and them telling them all about their son and his homeschooling. The mother in this scene is played my Naomi Watts. The parents explain that they don't want their son to miss out on a complete high school experience, so they give him exams and homework and all of that. But they also want to enable him to know what the social side of high school can be like so they haze and bully him, and also exclude him from typical high school parties in his own house. last of all the mother explains that he doesn't even have to miss out on the horribly embarrassing moment that is a first kiss. And guess who the girl is.... His mom... It is so painful to watch the build up to the actual kiss that the entire cinema was groaning in horror and disgust. There were also a couple of laughs, it was so strange no one really knew how to react. As a conclusion to this snippet, it is shown how the new neighbours meet the son who is apparently going on a date with his girlfriend and who seems like any normal teenager, so you begin to wonder if these extreme measures of education actually worked, but then he introduced his girlfriend to the neighbours and she turns out to be a puppet. I have never seen anything so strange, I think, in a film.
Those are just a few very very strange moments, I don't wanna spoil it all and also I was feeling really uninspired to write this post which is why there hasn't been one for so long!! I'm sorry this has just be laying around on my To-Do List 'cos I decided I'm not gonna stress myself for a post every week, if something comes to me... Good, if it doesn't.... What a shame.. I'm hoping to get back into a good routine this way, but I can't promise anything school's been a b*tch... Urgh, why am I lying.. PROCRASTINATION's been a b*tch!! That's the only truth there is... I got hooked onto White Collar (with Matt Bomerrrr *brow arch* :D) and then Smash and I am feeling much much more inclined to talk to you about that!!
SO, White Collar is about Neal Caffrey a convicted forger and con-man who is incredibly handsome and struck a deal with the FBI to help them on their cases in order to get out of prison... Don't worry, he still wears an anklet.. Well yeah he has a best friend who is called Mozzie, fellow white collar criminal and very, very into conspiracy theories, but a good guy at heart! I love Mozzie, he's being played by Willie Garson, who is so, so, so cuttteee I loved him in Sex And The City and I still love him now!! He might just be the most adorable, most sympathetic full time criminal I know on television!
Well yeah, it's a white collar crime series, which basically means that there's usually no murders and it makes it all a little bit more interesting, art forgery, cons and a lot of lock picking, which is what I reaaaally, really want to learn since I've been watching this, as well as pick pocketing!
I can't resist a con-man's smile and it doesn't help that love interest Sara Ellis is a beautiful redhead who I can SO identify myself with her! :DD I love Neal and the whole art thievery theme!! Art has always SO been my thing, and I might be a nerd but I think art crimes are the MOST interesting ones at alll!

Karen Cartwright and Ivy Lynn: Two Leading Ladies

And then I started watching Smash it's a Broadway musical kind of show! And well how can I NOT love it? It follows two girls going for one part in a production for a ''Marylin Musical'' there's loads of drama in the cast and crew.. Ivy is the curvy blonde with ten years of Broadway experience and then there is Karen the mid-western ''moonfaced'' freshling who is soo much nicer and I will always be rooting for her because Ivy sleeps with the director and gets the part that way! Well yes drama, drama, drama! Who could resist it? And the songs!! I was worried I wouldn't like it because with original songs it's more difficult to connect because you don't know them, but they're absolutely brilliant and there's something modern mixed in with it too!
Might talk some more about this in the future but I'm not making any promises just yet!! Happy to finally have one finished again!! Bye Byeeee

Une Femme Fatal

I felt a little bit empty inside (this is a joke, please do not send me a perscription for drugs or a recomendation o a mental institute :D) when I finished watching Sex And The City, I just really enjoy the friendship that the show is about. My favourite is Charlotte by the way, I love the way you can see the white in her eyes when she gets excited, little bit like a horse, I think it's sweet that she believes in true love and all that! Well yeah after all that, I went on the search for another fill in series, prefferably something to do with criminal investigation (WHOOP WHOOP Body Of Proof is back today!!) since I've had such good experiences with this genre recently :) Well, I was always intriged by Nikita because the posters are cool, so when Tastekid.com recomended it to me I read something about it and it reminded me of the Uglies book series which I loved. I started watching it, and I am now obsessed.

I had holidays, so I had nothing to do all day, actually I had a hell of a lot to do but I decided that watching Nikita was more important.. O:) I watched twenty-two episodes in two days, DON'T JUDGE!
What I have to say about the show is that I kinda love it. It's brilliant from the first episode on, and I love the way they are unfolding the story line piece by piece so that you slowly get to know what happened in the past. The whole series is not so much a crime series but more action, this is a very uncommon genre for a series and is through this uniquness even more successful. I really like it due to this fact because I love action films and this is like bunch of tiny little Mission Impossibles.. The story is about Nikita (Maggie Q) who was forced to become a spy and assassin for a now-rogue government  organization, called Division, who is trying to bring this organization down, for all the killing they forced her to do etc. She has an inside agent, Alex (Lyndsey Fonseca), who is currently being trained to become a Division agent. Nikita's love interest is Michael (Shane West), who is her former trainer but later also turn on Division.

I'm only at the beggining of season two, but a LOT has happened and every episode is full of suspense and action and basicly reaaaally cool. By now Alex has turned out to be the thought dead daughter of a dead Russian power player, and she has turned on Nikita for not telling her that it was her who killed her family on a mission for Division, she has also 'graduated' from being a recruit and is now in the real world again, and there is always a sign that she is still a bit sympathetic towards Nikita. My favourate bit of the show was when she was inside dividision though, 'cos it was reeally risky and cool and stuff, and it got really tense because the scary investigator woman, Amanda, knew something was up and put her though a bunch of lie detectors and truth serum etcetera. But now it's still good.

Nikita's out to ruin any of Division's kill missions and bring them down through destroying the leverage their leader, Percy, has in some hard drives that are scattered all over the world. Nikita can't destroy Division before she does the 'black boxes' because the secrets are so bad the whole world would be crippeled by the truth. She has made allies a long the way, not just Alex and Michael, but there are also Owen (Devon Sawa, I love him.), a former Guardian of a 'black box', Birkhoff, the former Divison head technician, a bloody genius and hilarius because he kind of thinks he's god, and Ryan a CIA agent she ''made into a hero'' and who's life she saved.

SO yeah, I pretty much lovvvveee it, and I am ridiculously happy that Ive still got, like a twenty-two episode season to watch of it, and I HOPE that they're going to continue it for a long time. I really don't need another episode a week to add to my busy 'schedule' but I will deffenitley continue to watch this.

Cinema Marathon: Two For One :)

SO, I'm really sorry I didn't write anything last week, but it was the day before my birthday (Yay, I'm 17 now!!) and I had a f*ck load of planning to do, as well as a bit (OK, I admit it... a LOT) of procrastination to do. I was re-watching Sex And The City as my fill in series and I got quite attached as you might have noticed.
Well to make up for that I went and did a slightly illegal cinema marathon.. O:) With that I mean pay for one film watch it and then just slip into another showing... Hehe, it worked without complications and so it is that I watched The Impossible and then Warm Bodies in one sitting...
Imma start with The Impossible. For a film, which's trailer made me have tears in my eyes it wasn't really sad enough. I mean congrats to the people who made the trailer, you did an absolutely amazing job advertising this film, but I must say that I felt a teeny tiny bit disappointed afterwards. The film relies on the true story of the Belón family. The family is on holiday in Thailand when the massive wave hits them and they get separated. The mother and the eldest son stay together and the father is left with the two youngest sons. The film is about their surviving the tsunami and then their search to find each other amongst the hundreds of thousands of victims.
In the survival part of the film the story follows the mother, Maria, and Lucas, and later the young boy they find and rescue called Daniel. The mother has a gaping holes in her chest and thigh, which where so graphically shown I just had a wave of nausea come over me just thinking about it. It was a LOT more 'gory' than I thought it would be. I really liked Lucas, the actor Tom Holland did an amazing job at portraying him and has already won some awards for his performance. Lucas is the thirteen year old son of the family who now has to step up and take care of his terribly injured mother and the baby they saved. Tom acts believably the conflict of responsibility and youth, and managed to portray a character that is significantly younger than himself (he's 16). He takes responsibility of his family and saves his mother by urging her on and not telling her how badly she is injured; and later helps unite families that are searching for lost members.

One of the best scenes of the film is when he brings a Swedish man to his son. It is such a sweet scene, and it brought tears to my eyes, especially as Lucas himself still thought that his father and his two younger brothers might be dead. You can see the hopefulness but also the sadness in him at the same time.
In the end after minutes of running past each other and the viewer wanting to scream out of frustration Lucas finds first his younger brothers and then his father, and at that point a tear might have rolled down my cheek. The mother is flown to Singapore to be operated and all ends well, but it is clear that many families did not have the fortune of such a happy ending and the viewer finally gets, at least a little, the understanding of what it must have been like to have survived.
After this film I had about forty minutes of waiting, but I was with my friends and I was quite happy that I actually had time to process the whole thing. One of the funniest things was that we met a couple from our year that everyone knew was on the verge of dating so it was fun for us, and probably quite awkward for them. Sorry for that guys! Well after those forty minutes I was pretty much starving so we went to buy popcorn and then snuck into the next showing: Warm Bodies with Nicholas Hoult (About A Boy, Skins) and Teresa Palmer (I Am Number Four). I just quickly have to say that I have a massive girl crush on her, I think she is reeeallly pretty, and so cool 'cos she always has these gun bearing bad ass chick roles.

Well the story is pretty much about a Zombie, R, who falls in love with on of the few alive people, Julie, then saves her from his fellow zombies, who want to eat her brains, and him slowly becoming more alive again through this human contact. The end is a battle between the zombies and alive people, who form an alliance, and the zombies who are already past saving, Bonies. And guess who wins? Happy ever after and all that, but really its a sweet film, and much less cliché than I thought it would be. In reality it's quite a comedy which really comes as a surprise to the viewer, or at least to me.. The whole film is done with a voice over of what R thinks, as zombies are only able to talk very limitedly due to their slowly exhuming brain capacity, this is a very good thing, and makes it even more funny. R thinks things like ''don't be creepy, don't be creepy... oh sh*t!'' which makes him very relatable. Which girl has not thought ''don't act stupid, don't be a clutz!'' when she's around her crush and I guess boys aren't that different.. So it's refreshing that this was included in the film making it a little more realistic, even though it's still totally unrealistic.
And it's very well acted on both accounts. Nicholas does a really good job of playing a character that is trapped within his own dead body, and Teresa is really good at being creeped out but brave at the same time. I still have to give Nicholas the most credit, he plays the character with so much dedication and so much humour and he is a really good actor, I could have never done an entire zombie acting scene with out laughing, because it is so delightfully awkward.

Julie's dad is the leader of the alive people and basically very close minded and hateful towards the zombies, he's played by John Malkovich (honestly, he always used to scare me a little bit because he looks a little bit crazy!) but yeah he also does an amazing job, what do you expect!? And finally the zombies and the alive people unite after R proves that his heart has started to beat again, through bleeding when he's shot; and the world is saved.
Mhhhhmm, so proud I've finally gotten this done, thank you anyone that actually still reads this stuff! I'll try to post more regularly again!! Byeeeeee!

Vive La France!

This weekend I wanted to go to a 'Remember Tomorrowland Party' with the real and actual Dimitri Vegas! But... I had an Otitis (Ear Infection) last week and my mom wouldn't let me go because she didn't want me to get worse again! So I was really sad and my mom took me to see the new Les Misérables film in the cinema! I had never actually seen the musical and I didn't know a lot about the story so I was going into the film with no expectations. OHMIGOD IT WAS AMAZING!

I'll tell you right now that I cried the entire second half of the film! It was so bad!! If you don't know the story of Les Mis it's about the June Rebellion in France, which really didn't result in any change sadly. It spans about twenty years and follows Jean Valjean a criminal imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread. He then goes on to become the mayor of a town when he is released and adopts a poor woman's daughter as she dies. He becomes involves with the Rebellion on the rebels side and finally also dies. The character was portrayed by Hugh Jackman, who I only really know as Wolverine and I was really surprised at how well he sings! The film also stars Anne Hathaway (Fantine), Amanda Seyfried (Cosette), Samantha Barks (Éponine), Eddie Redmayne (Marius), Russel Crowe (Javert), Helena Bohem Carter and Sasha Baron Cohen ('evil' innkeepers, the Thénardiers).

Something that really touched me is that the film is actually really good in portraying how the poor people were living and how unfair life really was for them. The first song in the film was ''Look Down'' is goes ''look down, look down, you'll always see a slave..'' and that's really how things were at the time. Things were so bad that people were forced to do the most horrible things to survive themselves and then also got imprisoned for the most minor things because the ones who were actually better off would report on the others in order not to slip into any misfortune themselves.

And It was really well portrayed how quickly that could happen, one day Fantine works in a factory and the next she is homeless and has to sell her body, because she has a daughter. In one of those really sad scenes she sings ''I Dreamed A Dream'' which really showed how she has given up on life and that the only thing she is living for is her little daughter. This was the first time that I really started crying! I mean Anne Hathaway may have her faults but she acted this scene to perfection. She can sing rather well, and she was crying at the same time and it was so so sad to see this scene. Just so beautiful! 

Then the film goes on to show how she dies and Jean Valjean, who is called Monsieur le Maire by now, takes in her daughter, Cosette. Later then the beginnings of the revolution and the directors and producers did an amazing job at portraying the restless mood at the time. Also we got to know Gavroche, he is a street child who is about nine or ten and he is kind of like a mascot for the revolutionists who are kind of like his family. He is really tough and sooo cute!!

And then you meet the grown up Cosette who, as the daughter of the mayor, is quite rich and beautiful,  the leader of the students, Marius, falls in love with her. The daughter of the Thénardiers, who were 'taking care' of Cosette while her mother was working, is called Éponine and in the beginning it's not quite clear if she's a b*tch or whatever.. I mean she comes from bad parents so you'd expect her to be bad as well. But more and more you start to feel sorry for her instead of cautious because you realise she's in love with Marius and he doesn't even look at her twice! She even helps him find the girl he's in love with, instead of snitching on Jean Valjean's location to Javert (mean police guy), which shows just how much she loves him and it's so heartbreaking because Marius doesn't even say thank you! And then she sings ''On My Own'' which is such a sad, sad song, it made me cry so much! Because it says how much she loves him but ''without me, his world keeps turning, a world of happiness, that I have never known!'' and Sam Barks just does a beautiful job of portraying her locked-up pain!

Èponine goes on to be the only girl within the resistance and of course she's the one to die first.. Taking a bullet for Marius. A little Romeo and Juliette but such a nice scene, I still cry when I think of her final song! ''A Little Fall Of Rain'' (can hardly hurt me now..) And in that scene Marius holds her and tells her hes going to keep her safe and close and he wants to close her wounds with words of love and it me a snotty and blubbering mess. I really admire Èponine, I've read in interviews and stuff that Cosette is supposed to represent Love, and I strongly disagree with that claim: It's 'Ponine who represents the truest and purest love. She loves Marius so much that she doesn't even care about herself anymore. All she wants is for him to be happy! Cosette is a good girl she in my opinion presents the possibility of a positive future, also love but not anywhere NEAR as much as Èponine. ''And rain, will make.. the flowers... grow.''
Then came the scene that made me sob out loud like a little baby! It's when the army comes back with the cannons and Gavroche tries to steal something from the front line. You can see it coming and it's inevitable. With the shots of a pistol an officer shoots the boy in the chest - I'm crying right now - and he dies. I couldn't contain myself after that I was full on crying as if he actually were my little brother, and I don't even have any siblings so I can't imagine the feeling of them dying. It's just so unfair how anything innocent and hopeful and beautiful has to die. It just shows how everything that was good was taken from those people! Èponine and Gavroche are my favourite characters by far! Another thing is that Javert (mean policeman guy) actually takes off his own medal and put it on Gavroche's dead body when they lined up the bodies!

Javert turns out to be another character that you can only feel sorry for, Jean Valjean saves his life and he can't deal with the fact that life is not black and white so he kills himself.

The last scene is also so nice, it's the entire cast singing a song they were singing at the beginning of the rebellion and it is lead by the dead characters. It's like the encore would be in the live stage musical. The music is:

The music is composed in a way that fills up your heart and makes you feel really proud and sad. I know this sounds ridiculous but it's how I felt at the moment. So so beautiful. It's the way a national anthem is supposed to feel when you sing it. 

Over all. I must say this is definitely one of the best films I have seen all year and I hope it wins a bunch of prizes and I know the singing's not the best because they're not really professional singers, but the superb acting balances it way out and it's a beautiful film. And just for the record Amanda Seyfried actually does have a beautiful voice.

I hope to see the real stage musical some time not to far away, and if the school ever decides to do a production of it, I'm in even if it's in the middle of my IB exams.

This turned out to be a massive post and I haven't said everything or expressed how I feel about this amazing piece of art nearly enough, but I have to stop now!

SO. First of all sorry for being a lazy blogger... I didn't post last week :S Seriously I hate myself when I break schedule but sometimes I just do not have time.. It's an old line but sadly true..
What I wanted to write about was the TV series Body of Proof with Dana Delany. I had watched about two episodes at a friends house a year ago or something, and now that I have a vacuum in my shows schedule I thought I'd pick it up again. I don't particularly like crime series or films but I remembered really liking the show so I gave it a try.. I find that it is actually something I enjoy watching and this might be due to the fact that it's got more of the medical side of the whole thing and that there is a lot of comedy in the series.
It is about surgeon turned medical examiner Megan Hunt, who is divorced and has to deal with getting to know her teenage daughter again. She is a person who does what she wants and has very little friends. No friends she thinks, but it quickly shows itself that, actually, her work colleagues value her a lot and become her friends.
I finished watching the entire thirty episodes (two seasons) in I think 4 days... Yeah.. That's how obsessed I was once I started watching it. But it has the perfect balance between mystery and laugh out loud moments and you really get to love the characters. Most of course Peter Dunlop, Megan's Investigator who kind of is the only one who really knows her. They flirt a lot and he's a really good guy, I think from the first episode I was already shipping them together! It would have been too perfect, too happily-ever-after-ly though.. Peter dies in the season two finale and you really get to see that they should be together, he saves her from a crazy serial killer who wants to kill her and then pull our her brain through her nose with an embalming hook the way the Egyptians used to... Well yeah he saves her and gets the hook wedged in his stomach and dies in her arms. And she cradles him and you can see the pain in her face.

Ethan, Curtis, Kate, Megan, Sam, Bud, Peter

He as well as the two detectives are not coming back for season three which is premiering on the 19th of February.... I CAN'T waiiiittttt!!!!! But I'm gonna miss Peter and Bud SOOO much.. Sam I can deal with I was oddly fascinated by her because she's kind of manly and kind of beautiful at the same time, but I'm not gonna miss her... But PETERRRR!! :'( I mean Megan is technically still dating that other guy, and he seems quite sweet, but they're not soul mates!!!
I really like the character of Megan, because she is a bit of a cold hearted b*tch, but also the opposite at the same time. She is just really likable, and I think Dana Delany is a big part of what she is such an enigmatic character. Dana is over 50 years old, has had no plastic surgery and looks absolutely amazing. She is a bit of an idol right now because she is totally cool. I thought she was thirty to forty when I started watching... But then again, I'm a HORRIBLE judge of age... :D But yeah over time I noticed that she does show some signs of ageing (like a soft chin) but you don't notice it until you really look because you know. That is graceful ageing my friends. Sorry I'm ranting, I have a bit of a girlcrush on her if you haven't noticed yet.
The title of this weeks post is from a Latin sign they have posted over the entrance to their morgue. It is a big reason why I watch the show because it is exactly what they do in that morgue, they are really respectful towards the dead and try to do them justice. And the series has the same respectful kind of theme.
After finishing this I kind of was bored again, and then I started watching Bones. I thought it was a worse version of exactly the same thing and stopped after episode three. I've got nothing more to say about it. Then I started watching The Mentalist and I was finally happy again.
It's another crime scene murder investigation show. It centres around Patrick Jane who is a ''mentalist''. He is a behaviour specialist who was a con-psychic for many years but turned into a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation. His wife and daughter were murdered by a serial killer called Red John and Jane is out for revenge.

That Cheeky Smile

It's not as good as Body of Proof in my humble opinion but its still pretty good. I love the constant conflict between Lisbon and Jane and I don't even need them to end up together. Differently so with Rigsby and Van Pelt!! OMG, those twooo!!!!! I'm shippiiinggg!! Hahah, and I'm slightly in love with Rigsby. Which surprised me because I thought I was going to like Jane, as he's the protagonist and has that cheeky smile thing going on. But yeah I like him, not love him. Rigsby is just such a darling.
And I also love Cho :D not in that way though. I just think he is also very funny. In the casino murder episode I was amazed what a player he can be and I love the banter between him and Rigsby.

Naww, Van Pelt and Rigsby !

I'm always more nervous when I watch this because in this series there is often a moment where someone almost gets pushed of a roof or shot or something.. Yeah, I just finished on season one with this and am excited to see what is about to happen with Rigsby and Van Pelt as well as Jane and Red John.
So a lot of dead bodies and stuff at the moment.. don't worry I'm fine! :D
